Project Assistant

Port Esbjerg is looking for a curious and motivated Project Assistant(s) to work with ongoing and upcoming projects related to the development of the Port, Energy Infrastructure and alike.

The position is well suited to a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who wants hands-on experience with projects in an international port environment.

You will work with:

• Supporting the development and implementation of projects.
• Following project activities and progress.
• Carrying out research and analysis for ongoing and new projects.
• Working with project data and contributing to business cases and assessments.
• Supporting the development of new project ideas and opportunities.
• Working with companies, universities and other project partners.
• Gradually taking responsibility for specific project activities.

Qualifications:

• You have recently completed a relevant master’s degree or have a few years of relevant experience.
• You are curious, analytical and willing to learn.
• You are structured and take responsibility for your work.
• You are comfortable working with information, data and Excel.
• You can work independently and together with others.
• You communicate well in English. Danish is an advantage.
• You are comfortable working with different companies, organisations and professional backgrounds.

Previous experience from a student job, internship or first employment is an advantage

IT supporter

Port Esbjerg is looking for an IT Supporter who will help ensure stable and secure operations at a modern commercial port.

As an IT Supporter, you will be part of daily operations and support Port Esbjerg’s IT 
environment. You will work in the Security and Technology department as part of the IT team and work closely with external suppliers and users throughout the port. The role is both office-based and involves practical work throughout the port.

The tasks are varied and of both a technical and administrative nature. Among other things, you will work with:

• Helpdesk and user support for employees throughout the Port of Esbjerg
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of PCs, mobile devices and IT equipment
• Troubleshooting of hardware, software, networks and communication equipment
• Support and maintenance of technical systems and equipment in the port area
• Contribute to the secure operation of IT and OT infrastructure
• Identification and handling of IT security incidents

Qualifications

We are looking for a service-minded and teamwork-oriented person who can provide modern and creative solutions to solve problems and help colleagues with their IT goals. 
Applicants should want to develop a wide range of skills across a large digital and geographical environment.

In addition, the following is expected:

• Relevant IT education or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with or good understanding of Helpdesk/IT support
• Basic knowledge of networks, TCP/IP, switches, Wi-Fi, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft environments and Microsoft 365
• Good English skills
• The person must be able to be security approved

It is an advantage if you have relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent.

SECURITY TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Port Esbjerg is seeking a technically-skilled 
and security-minded Security Technology 
Officer to help develop, operate, and maintain the systems that protect one of Denmark’s 
leading commercial ports.

The Security Technology Officer will be responsible for Port Esbjerg’s physical security systems and will work in the Security and Technology department as part of the security team. They will also work closely with external suppliers, emergency services, and government authorities.

The position combines security, operational technology, and safety assets. The successful candidate will have an important role in ensuring that our security systems remain reliable, effective, and aligned with the requirements of a modern critical infrastructure environment.

The role is both office-based and involves 
practical work throughout the port.

Among other things, you will work with:

• Gate controls and perimeter security technologies
• Visitor management and control systems
• Security drone operations
• Planning and implementation of new security technology projects
• Maintaining technical documentation, system inventories, and configuration records

Qualifications

We are looking for an independent, technically minded, and service-oriented person who is comfortable working with both technology and people. You should have a practical approach to troubleshooting and be able to work independently while also coordinating effectively with colleagues, management, authorities, and external suppliers.

In addition, the following is expected:

• Relevant education or professional experience within security technology, electronics, IT, automation, or a related technical field
• Experience with electronic security systems
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure system configuration
• Ability to document technical systems and communicate technical issues clearly
• Good English skills
• Knowledge of the ISPS Code
• The person must be able to be security approved

Relevant technical certifications or training within networking, cybersecurity, physical security or security technology are an advantage. A military or law enforcement background is an advantage.
